Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for night shifts requiring an active NY RN license and prior Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care float pool
• Work involves night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Setting is a hospital-based ICU with critical care and cardiovascular patient population
• Epic EMR is used and previous experience is required
• Competency testing for ICU skills must be passed within 2 attempts
• Medical documentation required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
• No local candidates accepted who live within designated counties or within a 50 mile radius
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• More than 3 call outs in 13 weeks may lead to contract termination and missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks
• RTO (requests for time off) must be declared upon submission
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI such as BLS and ACLS required
• Epic EMR experience is required for consideration
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must provide a US Social Security Number; Canadian SINs are not accepted
