Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient PT experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Critical access hospital with 23 staffed beds
  • Outpatient physical therapy setting with a patient ratio of 1:11
  • Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • No unit floating within the hospital, but may be required to float to nearby affiliated facilities
  • Uses Epic EMR and Epic experience is required
  • Any color scrubs are permitted
  • Free parking available on-site
  • Duties involve providing outpatient physical therapy care to a diverse patient population
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule is required for eligibility
  • Travelers may be assigned to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
  • Must request all desired time off up-front; up to 6 days or 3 consecutive days are auto-approved
  • Holiday coverage requires working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
  • Mandatory completion of onboarding modules prior to start
  • Work environment is supportive of travelers and accommodates various levels of experience

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Current state PT license required if applicable
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Must provide two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years
  • Candidates must have a vehicle for commuting between possible assignment locations
