Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and RDMS ABD or OB/GYN certification for a weekday schedule with call requirements.

Responsibilities

Position based in a hospital radiology department
Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday per month from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Weeknight call required one night per week and weekend call one weekend per month
Responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and thyroid biopsies
Must use a variety of ultrasound modalities depending on anatomy examined
Pass/fail EKG testing is required on the first day, with two attempts permitted
Opportunity to assist in developing department techniques and support students or trainees
Must demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills across various patient age groups
Work must consistently reflect high standards of compassion, respect, and teamwork
50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience required
RDMS ABD or OB/GYN certification required
BLS certification required
Proficiency in assisting with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and thyroid biopsy procedures
License required if applicable
