Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and scrub experience and a current CA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the perioperative department of a hospital setting
• Role involves all phases of surgery: pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
• Includes both circulating and scrub responsibilities
• Monday-Friday, 8 hour day shifts
• On-call required during the week and at least 2 weekends per month
• Responsibilities include assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers, preparing and maintaining the sterile field, and supporting patient recovery
• RTO (request for time off) is not approved unless specified in the offer

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS required
• Minimum 1 year of operating room or surgical nursing experience
• Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing roles required
• Background in acute care or outpatient surgery centers preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile technique required
