Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT and BLS certifications and a minimum of 1 year MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an MRI unit with a caseload of 15-25 patients per day, including pediatrics to geriatrics
• Procedures include body, neuro, extremity, abdominal, pelvic, and angiogram scans; no cardiac or pacemaker cases, breast MRIs and pacemakers only performed during the week
• Setting includes inpatient, emergency, and outpatient populations
• One MRI room with required use of GE and Siemens equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 19:30 to 06:00, Monday through Thursday
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No floating required
• On-call duties required
• Must follow established protocols and policies for MRI imaging
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment with a multidisciplinary team
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; no RTO during first week
• Holiday coverage required: if one major holiday falls within assignment, must work it; if two, must work both; if three, must work two holidays
• Expected to wear pewter gray or black scrubs
• Orientation modules must be completed during scheduled orientation; modules are non-billable
• Full compliance required prior to start for timely orientation
• Travel pairs are not allowed to be assigned the same shift on the same unit
• Perm/PRN employees must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for 1 year prior to accepting a traveler role
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Experience with starting IVs, contrast administration, and PACS required
• Epic EMR system experience required
• GE and Siemens MRI equipment experience required
• First time travelers not accepted
• Must provide two supervisory references from manager level or above for consideration
• GA or Compact license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Physical ability to perform all MRI technologist duties
