Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position in Massachusetts requiring a current MA RN license and experience with emergency care.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
Night shifts, 3x12 hours, with typical start time at 7:00 PM and flexibility to start up to four hours before or after, only in urgent staffing needs
13-week contract assignment
Patient population includes acute emergency and trauma cases
Use of Epic EMR is preferred
Required to complete pre-start and orientation modules, tracked in Workday
RNs who do not pass the orientation EKG test will be dismissed from the assignment
Orientation includes EKG tele exam and online modules
Scrub or dress code not specified; check with agency for details
Candidates with prior discipline on their nursing license will not be considered

Requirements

Active MA RN license in hand required
Minimum 1.5 years of emergency department RN experience required
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Must provide two professional references, with one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Must pass a pass/fail EKG test during orientation with a minimum score of 80%, only one attempt allowed
Completion of 3rd party education verification is required for consideration
Applicants must live more than 200 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
