Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with a current MA license and at least two years of telemetry experience for a night float position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital float pool covering units including Med Surg/Tele, Medical Oncology, Surgical, Cardiac, PCU, ED holds, and occasionally Endo for basic patient care
• True float role with assignment to different units each shift; no floating to ICU
• Night shift schedule: two shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 and one shift from 22:45 to 07:15 per week
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR (experience highly preferred but not required)
• 13-week contract
• Provide nursing care across multiple hospital units based on daily assignment needs
• Holiday coverage is part of the scheduled rotation
• Orientation includes required online modules
• A 200-mile radius rule applies to RN candidates
• Candidates must not have priors on their nursing license
• Team members should be adaptable and comfortable with frequent unit changes

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience
• Previous PCU experience is preferred
• Must pass a pass/fail tele exam during orientation with a minimum score of 80% (one attempt permitted)
• Completion of all required orientation modules prior to and during onboarding
• Must provide two recent professional references, including one from a Nurse Manager or higher
