Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring a KS or compact license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 20-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes critically ill cardiac patients
• Shifts are 18:45 to 07:15 with every other weekend required
• EMR system used is Cerner
• Responsibilities include providing intensive care nursing to complex cardiac patients
• Required to work every other weekend
• On-site training for MOAB/CPI physical skills will be provided during orientation
• All positions are offered on an auto-offer basis
• Local candidates are accepted but will receive a reduced rate according to the facility's radius rule
• Covid vaccination is not required
• Required to provide skills checklist, two professional references, copies of certifications, license verification, and a valid driver's license for consideration

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (frequency of renewal dependent on group assignment)
• Completion of CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course required prior to start; MOAB Managing Physical Confrontations Course completed on site
• Must provide Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a U.S. Social Security Number and permanent U.S. address
