Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position in New York requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Critical Care Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Assignment covers critical care units, including neuro and surgical ICUs
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Float to various critical care units as assigned
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Must complete competency testing for ICU units, including neuro and surgical ICU areas
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• No more than three call outs allowed in 13 weeks; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of last call out
• Requests for time off must be made at time of application
• Travel pairs are not permitted
• Must apply to only one position at a time with this employer

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current AHA or RQI BLS and any specialty certifications required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Completion of competency testing for ICU areas with up to two attempts allowed
• Medical flu exemption only; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
• Local candidates are not eligible if residing in specified counties within a 50-mile radius
