Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with options for 3x12, 4x12, or 2x12 hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Cares for adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Qualivis – Lotus is used for submitting hours worked
• Assignments at facilities within the same health system may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6 month break required before returning
• Travelers may work at any location within the health system, but may not extend beyond 18 months without special approval
• Documentation requirements include copy of driver's license and SSN
• Testing is conducted during orientation, and successful passage is mandatory for continued assignment

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license required and must be in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to any travel assignments
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation and achieve acceptable scores
• At least one recent reference from a supervisor, ANM, manager, director, or charge RN in the specialty is required
