Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active OH or compact RN license, night shift availability, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Uses Epic EMR
• Care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
• Holiday shifts are required at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation and must be passed
• Assignments at specified health system locations are limited to 18 consecutive months with a 6-month waiting period before returning
• Must be prepared to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced hospital environment
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Tele experience
• Current certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required, must be obtained prior to start
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must provide a recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
