Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Cerner experience and travel nursing background for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Cares for emergency and trauma patient population
• Night shift with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within the hospital or to affiliated nearby hospitals to all competent units
• EMR: Cerner experience required
• Responsible for managing care of patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Strict adherence to timely completion of all assigned HealthStream learning modules is required throughout the assignment
• Modules for ED are completed pre-start and recorded in the hospital’s education system
• No block scheduling permitted
• Return staff must have been gone for at least one year before being eligible
• Expected to wear hospital-mandated scrubs
• Must be able to work all assigned weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years’ Emergency Department RN experience
• Travel RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (American Heart Association); CPI required starting January 2026
• Must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of at least 80% on lethal rhythms
• Must complete required CEUs
• Must provide copy of certifications, SSN, and DOB for consideration
• Locals accepted at same rate
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• At least one reference required for consideration
