Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring pediatric cardiac ICU experience and a NE or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) in a hospital setting
Care for patients post open-heart surgery, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy, heart transplant, and heart failure
Average daily census of 21 and 32 beds in the unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
Exposure to and/or experience with invasive cardiac monitoring, ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, and cardiac/sedation drips
Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:00)
First-time travelers are welcome for this position
Locals living within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
Responsibilities include managing complex pediatric cardiac patients and performing advanced cardiac monitoring

Requirements

Active NE or compact RN license required
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience required
Must not have previous permanent employment with this health system
