Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with an active NJ or compact license, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications for a Level III high-risk unit.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Level III high-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a hospital
• May float to High Risk Obstetrics (HROB) unit and up to two lower-volume hospitals as needed, within scope of practice
• HROB unit includes 16 rooms and cares for early inductions, antepartum patients, and those on continuous monitoring
• Day shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00, every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Epic EMR is used; experience preferred but not required
• Candidates must be able to monitor telemetry on the unit
• Floating is based on staffing needs and is uncommon for main facility assignments
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; RTO during the first week is not permitted
• Candidates will be fit tested before working on the unit and must be clean shaven
• Modules must be completed during orientation and some are billable

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license; must be in hand at time of application
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; certifications cannot expire within 30 days of start
• Minimum 2.5-3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, with at least 2 years in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with only 2 permitted attempts on a PC
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• Candidate must not be part of a travel pair submission
