Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Staffing Resource Team position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and the ability to float to multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Position is part of the Med/Surg Staffing Resource Team, floating between all Med/Surg units
• Units covered include multiple medical-surgical floors, ED, and PACU borders
• May require coverage as a Deceased Patient Coordinator (DPC)
• Care for post-surgical patients with lines, tubes, drains, complex wounds, and trachs/laryngectomies
• Expected to work both day and night rotating shifts, 36 hours per week
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Responsibilities include covering the ED and PACU border as well as Deceased Patient Coordinator duties as required
• Must be comfortable floating between multiple units as needed
• Team members must maintain active licensure throughout the assignment
• Compliance with trauma-level work environment expected

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license with proof of state residency
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years recent relevant Med/Surg RN experience
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the past 2 years required
• Experience caring for chest tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), complex wounds, central lines, and telemetry monitoring
• Float experience highly preferred
• No local candidates; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
