Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring EPIC and Level 1 trauma experience in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit caring for medical/respiratory patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience required
• Patient population includes individuals with acute medical and respiratory needs
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients
• Modify plans of care based on ongoing patient assessments and needs
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation to ensure continuity of care
• RTO (requested time off) not to exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
• Returning travelers may not be on assignment for more than one year without a six-month break from Carle Health
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum of one year relevant Med/Surg RN experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting required
