Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Infusion Center position with Chemotherapy certification and Cerner experience required.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a large outpatient Infusion Center with 65 chairs
- Provides intravenous treatments to a diverse oncology and bone marrow transplant patient population
- Day shift schedule from 6:45am to 7:00pm, varying days
- Work week consists of three 12-hour shifts
- No on-call responsibility
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Must work one major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve) during the contract
- Returning staff must have a 2-year break from previous permanent employment at this facility before applying as a traveler
- Time off requests must be submitted up front and cannot be added after offer
- Scrubs or dress code requirements were not specified
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Oncology nursing
- BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Experience with oncology and bone marrow transplant patient care
- Must have Cerner EMR experience
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
