Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a daytime role at a short-term acute care Level III trauma hospital.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital setting with a Level III trauma designation
- Day shift schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
- Expected patient caseload of 9-11 patients per day
- Floating between units within the facility is required
- Epic EMR utilized
- Inpatient rehab experience is preferred but not required
- All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility as needed
- Returning staff must wait at least 3 months before working as a traveler
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
- Flexible scrub colors allowed for all units
- Modules must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter
- Minimal to no RTO granted; all requests must be submitted up front
- Team-oriented environment with strong communication expected
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of acute care OT experience
- Current Allied license in hand
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years within a comparable specialty
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently while maintaining schedule
