Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for the Emergency Department, requiring a MO or compact RN license and level I trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level I trauma Emergency Department with stroke and STEMI care
• Night shift position (3x12 hrs, 18:45-07:15)
• Every other weekend and 50% of holidays required
• Pediatric ED located within the main ED
• Mandatory floating between ED and ED Observation
• Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
• Care for a mixed adult and pediatric emergency patient population
• No floating to the associated psych center
• First-time travelers accepted with Level I trauma experience
• Must work a minimum of 50% of holidays during the assignment
• Travelers must float as patient observers (sitters) as needed
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
• No re-orientation needed if returning within 18 months, with a 9-month gap required between assignments

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma ED experience required for first-time travelers
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
• CPI Blue Card preferred, can be completed onsite
