Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with a maximum capacity of 55 patients
• Care for internal medicine patients with a diverse range of medical diagnoses
• Shift schedule is 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Room amenities include video monitoring capability, sitter rooms, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms
• Floating to related units and patient observer (sitter) roles is required
• Cerner EMR is used; previous experience with Cerner is preferred
• Must work at least 50% of holidays during the contract period
• A 9-month gap between travel assignments is required to return as a traveler
• No re-orientation required if returning within 18 months
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront for consideration

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license must be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience and 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Required to provide two professional references for consideration
• CPI Blue Card certification required for Behavioral Health RNs (may be completed onsite if pending at start)
