Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an outpatient rehabilitation unit within a critical access hospital
• Hospital has 25 staffed beds
• Schedule is flexible with day shifts, offering either 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts, with shifts starting at 6:45 AM
• No weekend shifts required
• Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is required
• Uses Cerner for charting, position-specific experience is preferred
• Responsibilities focus on evaluation and treatment of outpatient rehabilitation patients
• Team structure supports flexibility and collaboration
• No weekend or holiday shifts required except for major holidays; must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed
• Scrub color is grey
• Orientation includes module completion, parking permit issued at no cost
• Locals are accepted with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Time off requests and schedule accommodations should be discussed with the manager

Requirements

• Current IL PT license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted)
• Must be eligible to work as a traveler if previously employed as perm or PRN, requiring a 12-month gap
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must be able to complete compliance, orientation, and fingerprinting requirements prior to start
