Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least one year of specialty experience, an active MT or compact RN license, and certification in BLS and ACLS from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shifts, 10 hours per day, 5 days a week
• May be required to float to other departments as needed
• On-call responsibilities may be assigned during scheduled shifts
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Provide independent and delegated nursing care for cardiac cath lab patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and treatment plans
• Document care according to hospital and regulatory standards
• Engage in patient education and health counseling as needed
• Team members are expected to support the mission and values of the healthcare organization
• Compliance with background check and drug screening processes is required
• Expectations include reporting to lab for drug screen within 24 hours of assignment commitment

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing required
• ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• No pending nursing licenses at time of consideration
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
