Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a night shift RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring MO or compact licensure and at least one year of experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 42-bed Medical Surgical hospital unit
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Patient-to-nurse ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6
• Team nursing model with nurse/tech teams managing 7 patients
• Nurse navigator provides support for admissions and discharges
• Floating to other units is required
• Must work every other weekend and 50% of holidays
• Uses Cerner EMR (experience preferred but not required)
• Support provided by techs and nurse navigators for efficient workflow
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
• Time-off requests must be submitted with initial application
• Holiday coverage includes working 50% of scheduled holidays

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg RN experience required
• At least 2 years of total RN experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
