Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical care ICU position in Texas requiring at least three years of recent ICU experience and a current TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a conglomerate ICU unit with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular cases
• Patient population includes TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem pop, thoracotomy, vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, CRRT, STEMI, heart failure, hypoxic, respiratory failure, CHF, and pneumonia
• Shift is 18:45-07:15 (overnight)
• Floating between ICU and step-down units within the critical care service line is required
• Care for diverse, high-acuity critical care patients in a team-based ICU setting
• COVID-19 vaccination is not currently required
• Local candidates are eligible but at a reduced rate according to facility radius rules
• All positions are auto-offer
• Travelers should contact their manager about contract extension at least 45 days before assignment end date
• Copy of driver’s license required
• Two professional references required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Minimum of three years' ICU experience
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must provide Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
