Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a rehab evening shift, requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Med/Surg unit with a focus on rehabilitation
• Short-term acute care facility and Level III trauma center
• Teaching hospital environment with 733 staffed beds
• Evening shifts (5x8 hours, 14:00-22:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to like units may be required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital setting
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Block scheduling not available
• Time-off requests are subject to manager's discretion
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from main campus
• Return staff eligible only if separated for at least 1 year
• Maximum of 2 contracts allowed before 6 month break is required
