Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a busy acute care environment requiring ARRT, BLS, and NY License with at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Radiology department serving inpatient, emergency department, OR, and outpatient settings
• Patient population includes newborns to geriatric patients
• Performs a variety of exams including trauma cases, fluoroscopy procedures, and general x-rays
• Uses FUJI fluoro room, Konica Minolta U-arm, Siemens C-arm, and portable x-ray equipment
• Shifts are Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM with a weekend rotation typically every fourth weekend
• The department is part of a Level III Trauma Center
• Documentation and medication systems include EPIC and Pyxis
• Unit orientation includes one week of training on day shifts
• Position includes coverage of a wide range of exams such as abdomen, chest, skeletal, and specialized fluoroscopy procedures like UGI, SBFT, and myelograms
• Team supports continuous x-ray coverage for the facility
• Emphasis on infection prevention, isolation precautions, and radiation safety
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (R), BLS, and New York State License required
• Experience with adult acute care, ER, ICU, OR, and pediatric outpatient imaging
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy, trauma imaging, and operation of C-arm and portable x-ray equipment
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• License required if applicable
