Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit position in New York, requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient population includes progressive care and critical care cases
• EPIC EMR system is used and experience is required
• Floating within ICU units may be expected
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing must be completed prior to starting
• No local candidates accepted from specified nearby counties within a 50-mile radius
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination and make-up shifts are required within six weeks of the call out
• Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive care or critical care required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• Competency testing required with two attempts allowed
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number is required; Canadian SIN is not accepted
• Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is provided
