Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a NY RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Critical Care Float Pool setting
• Float to various ICU units, including potential Neuro and SICU assignments
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Must be able to float within designated ICU units
• Uses EPIC EMR; prior EPIC experience required
• Competency testing is required for all ICU float pool nurses, including Neuro and SICU assignments
• All call-outs must be made up within 6 weeks; more than 3 call outs in 13 weeks may result in contract termination
• Request for time off must be submitted with application
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Local candidates who reside in specific counties within 50 miles are not eligible (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington)
• Travelers may submit to only one position at this facility

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand is required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI (e.g., BLS, ACLS) must be provided
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Must complete and pass ICU competency testing with two attempts allowed
• Medical documentation required for flu exemption; no personal or religious exemptions accepted
