Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position in New York, requiring a current NY RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Float among various ICU and critical care units as assigned
• Day shift position with hours from 07:00 to 19:00
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Use of EPIC EMR system is required
• Completion of ICU competency testing is required, with two attempts allowed to pass
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and any missed shifts must be made up within six weeks
• RTO must be requested at the time of application
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
• Travel pairs are not permitted
• Local candidates residing within the specified counties are not eligible

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant critical care experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemptions for flu vaccine allowed only if signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious exemptions not accepted
