Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an outpatient Oncology Infusion position requiring a WY or compact RN license and ONS certification.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient infusion oncology setting
• Provides care in the Medical Oncology unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7am to 5pm
• May be required to float to other nursing units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is highly preferred
• Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Administers IV treatments and monitors patient outcomes in an outpatient oncology infusion center
• Performs patient assessments, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and provides patient and family education
• Participates in quality improvement programs and hospital committees
• Maintains a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital policy
• May cover additional units based on staff and patient distribution
• Adheres to ethical standards and compliance regulations

Requirements

• Current WY or compact RN license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• ONS certification required
• Ability to maintain all required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, CPI, and CPR, according to policy
• Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations and multitask efficiently
• Ability to use electronic health records and basic office equipment accurately
