Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and an active MA OT license for a home health position in the South Region.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting serving patients in their residences across a defined geographic area
• Covers a wide patient age range from birth to over 100 years old
• Day shift from 08:00 to 16:30
• Position requires travel within the assigned region
• Use of Epic EMR for charting
• Provide OT services for patients with cognitive and physical impairments resulting from injury, disease, or disability
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify and coordinate care needs
• Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources related to care provision
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse populations are expected
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital to qualify for the standard travel rate
• Parking at Boston locations is self-pay with daily rates; public transportation options are available

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist license in MA required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of home care OT experience required
• 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an OT required
• Ability to work with various computer software and hand-held patient care devices preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills required
• Certifications must be from AHA only
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions accepted
