Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least one year of Med/Surg Oncology experience and an active MT or compact license for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Cares for oncology patients requiring both medical and surgical interventions
• Uses Epic for electronic charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on patient needs
• On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required
• Responsible for independent nursing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation for oncology patients
• Provides patient education, therapy, and supportive treatments
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
• Ensures meticulous documentation according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Adheres to the mission and values of the healthcare system
• Orientation to new departments provided when floating

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Oncology RN experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Certifications must not expire before the assignment start date
• Experience with Epic EMR required
