Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Illinois requiring 3 years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Shifts are 12 hours, nights (6:00pm – 6:30am), three times per week
• Every third weekend coverage required
• Care provided to both neonates and adult patients
• Documentation performed using Meditech
• Medication and supply management using Pyxis system
• Labor and delivery skills including NST, OCT, EFM, and IUPC utilized
• Circulate and recover C-Sections as needed
• Responsibilities include triage of OB patients, fetal monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and perioperative care for C-sections
• First time travelers may be considered based on experience
• Scrubs are provided to staff
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• No training modules are required for this assignment

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration
• At least 3 years of recent labor and delivery RN experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Experience with Meditech and Pyxis preferred
• Skills in NST, OCT, sterile vaginal exams, triage, EFM, spiral electrode placement, IUPC placement/calibration, abnormal fetal heart recognition/treatment, IVs, infusions, circulating/recovering C-sections, and epidural anesthesia required
