Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current NY license, EPIC experience, and strong critical care skills for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotation includes every other weekend and holiday coverage
• Care for critically ill adult patients including those requiring hypothermia treatment, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines
• Uses EPIC charting system; EPIC experience required
• Responsible for managing complex ICU cases using advanced monitoring and interventions
• Must obtain a facility physical exam prior to start (fee applies)
• Flu vaccination required unless a valid medical or religious exemption is provided at least 10 days before start date
• Candidates must be available to work through the holidays
• Study guide for ECG exam will be provided prior to assignment start

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of current ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with hypothermia protocols, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines
• Must have EPIC charting experience
• Must pass an on-site, timed, closed-book ECG exam with a score of 85% or higher; study materials provided
• Candidates residing in the following NY counties will not be considered: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany
• Former staff employed at this facility within the past year or within the AMC network (AMC, GFH, Saratoga, CMH) in the past six months will not be considered
