Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARRT or ARDMS certification and 2+ years of experience for a weekday day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic imaging department focused on general, abdominal, OB, GYN, breast, and vascular/arterial ultrasound exams
• Monday through Friday day shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 or 5:00 pm
• No call, weekend, or holiday shifts required
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Diagnostic responsibilities include communicating results to referring physicians and radiologists
• Responsible for patient safety and maintaining effective relationships with patients and the healthcare team
• Expected to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and coordinate with service engineers for repairs
• Some cross-training into other imaging modalities may be required
• Responsible for organizing daily schedules and completing clerical duties

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Current ARRT or ARDMS certification required in relevant sub-specialty
• BLS certification is mandatory
• Compliance with required continuing medical education (CME)
• Must be able to work independently performing a variety of ultrasound exams
• Ability to perform general diagnostic radiology procedures
• License required if applicable
