Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of recent home health experience for a day shift position serving a geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting with territory covering all of Suffolk and up to a 60-mile radius from the main office
• Patient population is primarily geriatric
• Caseload averages 5-7 patients per day, to be confirmed during interview
• A minimum productivity expectation of 30 points weekly
• OASIS and HCHB EMR experience required
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-call every 3rd to 4th weekend is required
• Travelers are expected to be flexible with territory assignments
• iPad provided for documentation; no cell phones allowed
• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating geriatric patients in their homes
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Flexible RTO may be considered if requested during initial application
• Dress code is scrubs in any color; no jeans allowed
• Travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Valid PT license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year recent home health physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in OASIS and HCHB EMR required
• Ability to meet timely documentation standards, with all documentation due by 9 AM the following day
• Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively
