Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring EPIC experience and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Required to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period as determined by unit needs
• No on-call required
• Float required to other units or locations within the system (including Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidates must not have worked a contracted position within the system in the past year
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers with no mile radius rule
• Scrubs of any solid color may be worn, but tops and bottoms must match and no logos or prints are allowed
• Free parking provided with decal issued at orientation
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration—pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years recent PCU experience required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Two professional references from supervisors, managers, charge nurses, or directors within the last year required
• Annual flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with only medical or religious exemptions accepted
