Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring recent cardiac telemetry and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PCU of a hospital setting
• Cares for cardiac telemetry patients
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Shift is nights, 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend or six weekend shifts per six-week period are required, scheduling determined by unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to units or locations within the health system, with a home base unit
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide advanced telemetry care for progressive care patients including cardiac monitoring
• Orientation includes free parking with decal provided
• Scrubs may be any solid color but must be matching and free of logos or prints
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year PCU or cardiac telemetry RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CPI certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Two professional references from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors within the last year required
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31; medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Applicants must not have worked as a staff member or contracted traveler within the health system in the last year
