Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer skilled in adult acute care echocardiography and vascular studies.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting as an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer
• Patient population is primarily adults in acute care, ICU, and ED environments
• Responsibilities include performing 2-D echo, bubble study, color Doppler, contrast imaging, M-mode, and portable studies
• Vascular procedures include carotid, duplex, lower/upper extremity venous and arterial, peripheral vascular resistance, and transcranial Doppler studies
• Imaging equipment includes Siemens systems
• Day and evening shifts available, with start times at 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 9:00 am, and 2:00 pm
• Weekend coverage is required 1 to 2 times per month, with 3 call shifts per month
• Responsibilities include obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and adhering to isolation precautions
• Neonatal heart experience is preferred but not required
• Position involves working independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team
• Compliance with hospital COVID-19 and other safety protocols is expected
• Scrubs or professional attire as per hospital policy

Requirements

• Current ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
• Experience in adult acute care echocardiography and vascular sonography required
• Ability to perform 2-D echo, bubble study, color Doppler, contrast imaging, M-mode, RVIT/RVOT, diastology, and LV strain/volume assessments
• Experience performing procedures on ICU and ED patients required
• Proficiency in Siemens ultrasound equipment preferred
• License required if applicable
