Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a GA or compact RN license, with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit with one IR suite and one OR hybrid room
• Supports IR and vascular surgeons in a hospital setting, working with adult and geriatric patients
• Average daily census is 15 patients
• Required to float to IR, ER, and ICU units as needed
• Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 17:30
• Every other weekend coverage required
• On-call requirement of 4-5 shifts per month
• Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are eligible for this position
• Must wear scrubs in any color
• Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed, but none in the first week or during Spring Break (April 6-12)
• Travelers are expected to work major holidays as scheduled according to assignment length
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Travel pairs are not assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Candidates who have been deemed unable to return to one facility must complete a successful assignment outside the system before rebooking

Requirements

• Active GA or compact state RN license required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in IR, ER, or ICU settings required
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Must not have been a permanent or PRN employee at any Piedmont facility within the past year
