Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with experience in senior care for a 13-week contract assignment in a supportive retirement community setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced retirement community serving skilled nursing, personal care, and independent living residents
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Patient population is primarily older adults
• Use of Net Health for documentation with training provided if needed
• Responsibilities include providing high-quality physical therapy evaluations and treatments for residents
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve mobility and quality of life
• Work collaboratively with an experienced rehab team and nursing staff
• Foster a positive, resident-centered culture within the therapy department
• Support and training provided for documentation systems

Requirements

• Current PA Physical Therapist license in good standing (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Experience in senior care required
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Two-step PPD or TB skin test within 30 days of start date
• Covid vaccination records or exemption required
• Background check and fingerprinting required
• Resume required
• Physical exam performed by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner
