Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position in New York requiring EPIC EMR proficiency and a valid NY RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Float Pool providing clinical support across multiple units
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM in a central staffing role
• Floating to various med/surg units as needed throughout the hospital
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing is required and must be passed within two attempts for applicants with less than 2 years of experience
• More than 3 call outs during the 13-week contract will result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks after the last call out
• No local candidates are accepted if residing within the specified counties
• Request for time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Must have experience with the EPIC EMR system
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide US Social Security Number; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemptions for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; no personal or religious declinations allowed
