Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a permanent OH or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient population includes medical-surgical cases requiring telemetry monitoring
• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments, with two attempts provided
• Candidates must pick up their badge and complete onsite fingerprinting before the start date
• Assignments cannot exceed 18 consecutive months at a facility, with a required 6 month break before return unless approved otherwise
• Extensions beyond 18 months may be granted on a case-by-case basis
• Modules related to onboarding are completed pre-start and annually, with specific requirements varying by specialty
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait at least 1 year before returning to work at the facility
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license is required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry specialty required
• Active BLS certification required
• At least one supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Negative 10 panel drug screen including nicotine testing required within 12 months of start
• No open background check cases or license hits accepted
• Candidates must present a copy of driver's license and social security card
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
