Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotics experience in DaVinci, Ortho, Total Joints, and general surgery, along with Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Care for surgical patients undergoing robotic, orthopedic (including total joints), and general surgical procedures
• Robotics equipment used includes DaVinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa
• Scrub duties are required, including holding retractors
• Uses Epic EMR for all documentation
• Travel RN experience within the past 24 months is required
• Candidates will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating in robotic, ortho, and general surgery cases
• Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Only one day of time off may be requested during the periods 11/26-11/30 or 12/23-1/2
• Dress code and scrub requirements will be discussed during onboarding
• Returning employees must not have worked for the client within the past 12 months to be eligible

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license is required; applicants for an Iowa license must provide proof of application
• Active Illinois RN license is required if applicable
• Current BLS and any required certifications must be active at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Practical experience with DaVinci robotic surgery, ortho (including total joints), and general surgery is required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Must be able to scrub in for cases and hold retractors
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years is required
