Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a CO or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of cath lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting within an acute care hospital
• Two procedure suites with an average of four cases per day, including both cath and interventional radiology cases
• Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker, and interventional radiology patients
• Utilizes Epic EMR, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week with required call
• Call required approximately 10 weeknights per month and every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Holiday call is shared among staff, with coverage required for one major summer and one major winter holiday
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• No floating to other facilities is required
• Primary duties include circulating, monitoring, and managing patients pre and post procedure, as well as conducting pre and post procedure patient calls
• Orientation provided on-site over several days following initial hospital orientation
• Scrub uniforms (hospital-provided blues) must be worn
• Call schedules are managed and shared among the team
• Candidates must be available in state during the week of orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health in the past year

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact state RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of two years recent cath lab nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be current
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Interventional radiology experience preferred or willingness to learn
• Driver's license must be provided for verification
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility based on permanent address
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past three years
