Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour day shift Emergency Department assignment requiring pediatric care training and an active NH or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Emergency Department
• Care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric, excluding OB cases
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers may be requested to float within the hospital
• Cerner EMR is used; experience is preferred but not required
• Weekly orientation provided for all travelers
• Permanent staff may return as travelers after a minimum 12-month break in service
• RTO must be declared upon consideration
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at the local rate

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP
• Pediatric experience preferred, or willingness to train in pediatric care
• 2 recent references from charge or manager RNs specific to the specialty
• 3 professional references required upon offer, including 2 from leadership
• Completion of a specialty-specific skills checklist
• Verification of all active RN licenses via NURSYS
