Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license and required certifications for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract assignment
• 50 mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Responsible for comprehensive assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in the ICU
• Facilitate patient/family education and manage care transitions
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and support teams
• Adherence to hospital policy, industry standards, and regulations is required
• Return staff policy requires candidates to be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday request for time off (RTO) will be approved; no time off for Thanksgiving or Christmas Day

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required within 180 days of hire
• TNCC certification required within 180 days of hire
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of two years ICU experience required
• Must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing agreement
