Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring MN licensure, ACLS/BLS certification, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Responsibilities include procedures in IR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and pre/post (Phase 2 Recovery) care
• Patient care provided for both inpatient and outpatient populations
• 10-hour day shifts from 8:00 to 18:30, four days per week
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5
• On-call required as needed by department
• No weekend shifts required
• No floating required outside IR department
• Uses Air pal for safe patient movement in IR, ceiling lift in CT, and NK monitors with EtCO2
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic/Excellian, experience required
• Responsibilities include prep and recovery for procedural patients, moderate sedation for CT, US, IR cases, MRI monitoring of pacemaker patients, anxiolysis, and medication admin for nuclear medicine patients
• Performs procedures such as biopsies, tubes, lines, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, neuro, body and vascular/liver embolizations
• Works both independently and alongside anesthesia and procedural teams
• Scrubs are provided for this position
• Flat rate parking available on site
• Full compliance with hospital testing and module requirements prior to start is necessary
• Time off requests ideally limited to 5 days for the duration of the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome for this role

Requirements

• Active MN RN license or eligibility for licensure; pending licenses accepted
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in interventional radiology nursing or related specialty
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must provide at least one supervisor reference for consideration
• Locals not accepted unless for radiology positions; must reside at least 100 miles from facility unless exception applies
• Must have been separated from previous perm or per diem position at the facility for at least 3 months
