Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a critical access Level IV trauma hospital, requiring a WA or compact RN license and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Facility is a Level IV trauma center with an average daily census of 10
• Handles approximately 300 deliveries annually
• Two nurses scheduled per shift; may care for postpartum patients if no laboring patients are present
• RN to patient ratio is typically 1:4, occasionally 1:5 depending on unit census
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), including some weekends
• Uses Cerner EMR
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Housing recommendations are available for travelers
• Scrubs are not provided; any color may be worn

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Current BCLS certification required
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Two references required for consideration
