Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab assignment with at least one year of experience; open to first-time travelers and those pending licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an inpatient rehab unit within a short term acute care hospital setting
  • Expected patient ratio is six patients per eight-hour day
  • Day shift schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week with one regular weekend shift required
  • Floating between units and facilities within the state is required
  • Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
  • IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility) experience is preferred
  • Scrub attire is required; any color is permitted
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least three months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is permitted, with exceptions granted only with approval
  • All travelers must be willing and able to float to various facilities within the state
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of recent inpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Current PT license required if applicable
  • Two supervisory references covering at least one year of employment within the last three years must be provided
  • Experience with Epic EMR is required
